Tough Week For Amazon But I Still Love This Company

April 25, 2011 Leave a comment

It has been a tough week for Amazon but this is still a great company. If you look at what they’ve done with EC2 and S3 – it’s pretty amazing. I equate this problem to when MSFT had to stand down the company to address security. MSFT became a better company because of this exercise. The same will happen with Amazon. This is a company of extremely smart people who will get this problem fixed and then continue to build on the great innovation that they have fostered in the cloud space.

At least my application maintains state when there is a problem at Amazon unlike another major cloud provider in the market today.

Keep your head-up guys – I love your service.

Blog Neglect – Virginia Tech – Juniper – .NET

April 13, 2011 1 comment

I’ve been so busy with my move and building the new organization at Juniper that I have totally neglected my blog. Bad Eddie (:-}). So here’s a recap of what’s been going on. The number of partners using Junos continues to grow at a rapid pace. We recently joined the Eclipse Foundation and have the Junos Space SDK fully integrated into the Eclipse IDE.

Nagi has created a couple of cool applications using Junos Space and .NET – Ah the power of web services.

This week we are at the Juniper Partner Conference and the team is actively participating in events around the world (telling the Junos story).

Finally my daughter Lauren will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall. She will be a 3rd generation Hokie and future software geek (love it).

Now that you are updated – I will try harder to keep the blog current.
